LANDBANK is one with the Philippine Commission on Women (PCW) in supporting the 18-Day Campaign to End Violence Against Women (VAW) from November 25 until December 12, 2024.
With the 2022-2027 recurring campaign theme, “UNiTEd for a VAW-free Philippines" and its 2024 sub-theme, “VAW Bigyang Wakas, Ngayon na ang Oras!" the PCW highlights the urgency of the advocacy in line with the commemoration of the 20th anniversary of the signing of Republic Act No. 9262 or the "Anti-VAWC Act of 2004."
More than a campaign—LANDBANK collectively stands for justice and equality by amplifying the call to action through impactful initiatives aimed at raising awareness and fostering change. The Bank will host activities such as “Orange Wednesdays,” where employees wear orange as a visible stand against violence, and an anti-sex trafficking learning session to educate and empower participants. Additionally, the “Orange Your Icon Advocacy” will highlight our commitment to this cause, while the Anti-VAW Commitment Board will be formed to serve as a platform for employees to express their support. To further promote awareness and inspire action, LANDBANK will be hosting a powerful dance production, "PANAHON: Sa Pagitan ng Kahapon at Ngayon," from November 25 to 27, 2024. This thought-provoking performance by the Tanghalang Bagong Sibol Theater and Dance Company delves into the challenges faced by women and youth, including bullying, teenage pregnancy, HIV, depression, and gender inequality.
Let’s break the silence, challenge harmful norms, and empower survivors nationwide. Together, we are shaping a future where no one is left behind, and every Filipina lives free from violence and fear.
