The following transactions can be processed in EMDS:

1. Transmission of Advice of Checks Issued and Cancelled (ACIC);
2. Processing of payment of accounts payable to creditors;
3. Transfer of fund allocation; and
4. Checkbook requisition.

The processing of credit to the creditor’s account is within 24 to 48 hours after the Agency approves the List of Due and Demandable Accounts Payable (LDDAP) transaction, except for transactions that will fall on a Saturday, Sunday, or legal/special holiday which will be credited on the next banking day.

Furthermore, EMDS' implementation addresses the tedious and costly processing of MDS transactions and aims to eliminate the physical transmission of required MDS documents.
