Here are simple ways to check if a link is fake: A secure website should have a Universal Resource Locator (URL) that begins with "https" and should display a closed padlock icon ? in the browser. To confirm its authenticity, double-click the icon to display the site's security certificate information. Check for spelling mistakes ? or changes in the domain name. Phishing sites often do this to deceive you, such as a different/extra alphanumeric sign.
