The state-run Bank supports the BIR through the LANDBANK Link.BizPortal facility, which provides taxpayers with a safe, reliable, and efficient online payment solution to conveniently pay their taxes, among other digital banking services. The LANDBANK Link.BizPortal allows customers to pay tax liabilities online via the BIR or LANDBANK websites, thereby eliminating the need to physically wait in line at BIR regional and district offices. From January to August 2022, the LANDBANK Link.BizPortal has facilitated for the BIR over 548,000 transactions with a total value of P1.4 billion.

The two officials discussed potential areas of collaboration to enhance the agency’s operational efficiency, as well as prioritize the banking needs of Filipino soldiers, personnel, veterans and pensioners through digital banking and treasury services, among others. Borromeo personally expressed gratitude to Faustino and DND, for providing the necessary security and transportation to LANDBANK personnel during the distribution of financial assistance in remote and risky areas. The meeting was also attended by LANDBANK Senior Vice Presidents Celeste A. Burgos, Randolph L. Montesa, Marilou L. Villafranca, and Ramon R. Monteloyola, along with other senior Bank officials. LANDBANK currently serves the banking needs of DND, including payroll service and salary loans for employees, and convenient digital payment to suppliers through the LANDBANK Bulk Remittance System (LBRS), among others. In April of this year, LANDBANK strengthened its partnership with the Philippine Veterans Affairs Office (PVAO), an attached agency of the DND, with the signing of the amended Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) for the Direct Remittance Pension Servicing System (DRPSS) to better service Filipino veterans and pensioners. Under the amended MOA, LANDBANK and PVAO have streamlined procedures for pension account opening and formalized the crediting of other PVAO benefits, such as medical and burial assistance, to the LANDBANK ATM accounts of pensioners. LANDBANK also partnered with the Philippine Air Force (PAF) for the PAF Online Payment System (POPS) powered by the LANDBANK Link.BizPortal, to facilitate the efficient online payment of light and water utility dues, bidding document fees, trust receipts for the Air Force General Hospital, and rental fees for the PAF Aerospace Museum and concessionaires. Through the POPS, PAF clients, which include creditors, suppliers, and PAF personnel and their family members, are now able to settle their financial commitments in a faster, secure, and convenient manner. LANDBANK likewise supports the National Government’s Enhanced-Comprehensive Local Integration Program (E-CLIP), which aims to improve the livelihood of former rebels and extremists and their families by financing small businesses and agri-enterprises. Under the LANDBANK Balik-Loob Lending Program (BLLP), former rebels, former extremists, and their cooperatives and associations can avail of loans to finance small businesses, such as sari-sari stores, furniture making, and tailoring, as well as agri-enterprises such as crop and livestock production, among others. Eligible borrowers can avail up to 90% of the total project cost but not exceeding P100,000.00 per borrower, with an interest rate of 5% per year, payable up to one (1) year for short term loans and up to five (5) years for term loans. As part of the ongoing contribution to the government’s peace-building efforts, LANDBANK has released a total of P1.5 million to 16 former rebels under the BLLP, as of end-September 2022.

Through the LANDBANK Link.BizPortal, Navoteños now enjoy the convenience of paying their real property taxes, business taxes, and other financial obligations to the City Government anytime and anywhere, without the need to physically line up at the city hall. LANDBANK currently has two branches and 10 automated teller machines (ATMs) in Navotas City, providing convenient banking services to all of its 18 barangays. Through the LANDBANK Link.BizPortal, residents can now settle fees, dues, and charges to the local government unit (LGU) at their convenience with just a few clicks on their computers or mobile devices. The Municipal Government of Tumauini joins over 970 government and private partner merchants nationwide that have been enrolled in the LinkBizPortal system, as of end-September 2022. For the first nine months of the year, the LANDBANK Link.BizPortal has facilitated over 506,000 transactions with value of P8.8 billion, representing increases of 56% and 19%, respectively, year-on-year. “LANDBANK fully supports the digitalization initiatives of the local government of Tumauini to deliver convenient public services. Beneficiaries can withdraw their cash grants for free from 78 LANDBANK ATMs or via over-the-counter at 11 LANDBANK branches in Pasig City, as well as from ATMs in 7-Eleven convenience stores near them. This includes delivering greater value to beneficiaries of social protection programs, government employees, local government units, and other key development sectors,” said President Borromeo at the Convention, where The total utilization growth recorded by LANDBANK in the nine-month period consists of combined transactions via the LANDBANK Mobile Banking App (MBA), weAccess, Electronic Modified Disbursement System (eMDS), Link.BizPortal, iAccess, and the LANDBANK Bulk Crediting System (LBCS). The LANDBANK MBA topped the group in terms of transaction volume, which recorded 87.6 million transactions amounting to P154.3 billion, translating to 20% and 29% increases, respectively. The overall increase in transaction value was propelled by the Bank’s corporate internet banking platform, the LANDBANK weAccess, which logged 13.26 million transactions worth P2.95 trillion – a 739% increase in value from the same period last year. Meanwhile, the LANDBANK eMDS for national government partners facilitated 1.7 million transactions worth P1.4 trillion, translating to a 19% rise in value. The Bank’s online retail banking channel, iAccess, likewise posted a 16% increase in terms of transaction value amounting to P13 billion from 3.9 million transactions. The Link.BizPortal, LANDBANK’s web-based payment facility, recorded a 50% rise in transaction volume with 4.3 million transactions worth P8.8 billion. Lastly, the LBCS — the Bank’s online electronic disbursement facility — recorded transactions amounting to P14.09 billion for a significant 575% jump compared to the same period last year. “More than the numbers – the outcome, the quality of lives of the people and communities we serve are very important. The LANDBANK OnColl facility facilitates around 2,000 transactions per month for the SEC, which covers applications for company registrations, and the verification and reservation of corporate names, among others. New SEC Accounts shall also be enrolled in the LANDBANK weAccess, for the convenient online viewing and downloading of Online Collection Reports by the SEC. SEC Commissioner McJill Bryant T. The LANDBANK Mobile Banking App (MBA) for retail customers recorded 97 million transactions amounting to P171.3 billion for 18% and 28% growth rates, respectively. The Bank’s corporate internet banking platform, the LANDBANK weAccess, facilitated 14.2 million transactions worth P3 trillion, representing an unprecedented 664% jump in value from the same period last year. The LANDBANK Electronic Modified Disbursement System (eMDS) for national government partners logged 1.9 million transactions with total value of P1.6 trillion, translating to increases of 17% and 20% in transactions and value, respectively. Meanwhile, the LANDBANK iAccess continued to post a 16% growth in transaction value amounting to P14.3 billion from 4.3 million transactions. LANDBANK President and CEO Cecilia Cayosa Borromeo and Sarangani Governor Rogelio D. Pacquiao signed the term sheet for the proposed loan on 19 January 2023 at the Grand Summit Hotel in General Santos City. They were joined by Vice Governor Dr. Elmer T. De Peralta, Provincial Administrator Atty. Ryan Jay R. Ramos, together with LANDBANK Senior Vice Presidents Ma. Celeste A. Burgos, Leila C. Martin, Charlotte I. Conde, and Camilo C. Leyba, and Vice President Eden B. Japitana, among other Bank officers. “LANDBANK fully supports the vision for Sarangani Province to have a self-sustaining and globally competitive economy. Together, let us continue to explore more avenues for collaboration, in the service of your constituents, and the nation at large,” said President Borromeo.
